Our story
Math shouldn't feel like a wall.
Oakkart is an independent studio based in Mumbai. We build SolveGini — a step-by-step AI study companion for the student working through a problem and the parent helping them at home.
The problem we kept seeing.
A child gets stuck on a problem at 9 pm. The parent tries to help, but the syllabus has changed since they were in school — or the problem is simply hard — and now everyone is frustrated.
The student types the question into a search engine and gets a final answer with no explanation, or a 20-minute video that never reaches the specific step they're stuck on. The concept stays foggy. Tomorrow, a similar question will trip them up again.
Something that should be learnable starts feeling unlearnable. We wanted to fix that.
